OCEAN’s seventh accelerator class will launch in mid-April for the 16-week program.
CINCINNATI, OH, March 26, 2021 — OCEAN Programs is pleased to announce that the 2021 high-tech accelerator class is being backed by 11 Tribes, a Chicago-based early-stage venture fund. The group of 10 companies will convene for a 16-week hybrid virtual/in-person program, beginning with an onsite week in April at Cincinnati’s Union Hall. Midway through the program, the companies will reconvene in Boulder, CO for further onsite intensive sessions with experts in the Boulder high-tech start-up community.
Companies and founders have been selected from diverse applicants from 19 countries; selected companies are from Mexico and the United States, representing 6 different states and metro areas. Each company will receive $50,000 of seed funding to help accelerate their launch and growth in the market with the potential to receive an additional $25,000 based on progress in the program.
Building on the six successful cohorts trained onsite in Cincinnati, the team at OCEAN is pleased to now accelerate companies through a distributed program model. The hybrid virtual/onsite accelerator program incorporates workshops on essential skills for successfully launching and funding a business, with a specific focus on the spiritual development of each of the founder participants.
Each team of founders will benefit from the wisdom of more than 70 global experts, who will lead workshop sessions on topics related to investor readiness, revenue assumptions, value proposition design, leadership development, and developing a Kingdom focus in the business. The 2021 program continues to build on OCEAN’s history of leading the market for faith-based acceleration.
OCEAN looks forward to introducing each company at the culminating public end-of-program event in early August. Demo Day will be a virtual presentation, available to any interested parties, focusing on potential investors.
